Hi, I’m Holly Wentlent, a watercolor artist based in Buffalo, NY. Welcome.
I was born with a paintbrush in my hand—at least, that’s how it feels. But like many artists, life took me on a few detours. Art took a back seat while I raised my daughter and earned a degree in Web Development (because practicality called). Then, during the pandemic, I set out to illustrate a family cookbook, and somewhere between the paints and the flour-dusted pages, I rediscovered my passion. I haven’t put the brush down since.
As a self-taught artist, I find inspiration in the natural beauty around us and the intricate details of architecture. My paintings blend realism with abstract elements, creating visual stories that capture the essence of my subjects while leaving space for personal interpretation.
Art has always been my anchor—a source of healing, growth, and a reminder that passion has a way of finding its way back to you. Through my work, I hope to share that sense of peace and connection, reminding others that creativity isn’t just about making something beautiful; it’s about resilience, storytelling, and the joy of getting a little paint under your nails.
