Holly Wentlent

I am a watercolor artist based in Western New York, creating original paintings and limited edition prints that collectors discover at juried art shows and through my online shop. My work is rooted in strong composition, thoughtful color, and subjects that feel familiar without being predictable.
Over the years, I’ve shown consistently at larger juried art festivals throughout the region and built a loyal collector base that continues to grow. I take my work seriously, but I don’t believe art needs to feel stiff or precious to be meaningful. I want my paintings to feel approachable, intentional, and lived with.

HW Fine Arts is the result of years of showing up, refining my voice, and trusting my instincts. Every piece is created with care, from the original painting to the final presentation. I value craftsmanship, professionalism, and authenticity, and I want people who live with my work to feel that from the moment they see it.

I’ve always been a maker. Long before I ever called myself an artist, I was painting, creating, figuring things out with my hands, and finding comfort in the process. I’m not formally trained, but I’ve been creating my entire life, and watercolor has become the place where everything clicks for me.

Life has handed me more than a few plot twists. I once broke both of my wrists at the same time and still found a way to paint. That pretty much sums me up. I’m stubborn in the best way and deeply committed to the things I love.

Outside the studio, I love being with my family and friends, traveling whenever I can, baking for people I care about, and cheering unapologetically for the Buffalo Bills. I believe humor matters, resilience matters, and making space for joy matters. All of that quietly makes its way into my work, whether I intend it to or not.
